Kiwi's Lace is a decorative kiwi bird tea towel by contemporary NZ artist Anna Mollekin, with a stylised kiwi in intricate navy lace among native fronds, ferns, pōhutukawa and kōwhai.

I wanted to celebrate our country and its beautiful flora and fauna, because New Zealand is the fabric of my being. The lace reflects the delicate, intertwined connection between our native birds and their habitat. I first drew it in ink pen in August 2018, then redrew it digitally and finished it in April 2020, initialled.

Made to order here in NZ, its navy adds a classic, timeless touch to your kitchen and home decor. It makes a meaningful gift for anyone who loves our native wildlife, a thoughtful thank-you for a conservation volunteer, or a little bit of home to post to Kiwis overseas.

Art for a cause

$3 from every Kiwi's Lace tea towel sold goes to the Moehau Environment Group, a non-profit protecting the natural environment of the Northern Coromandel. Their Kiwi Sanctuary helps save Coromandel brown kiwi.
